The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix takes place from 19 to 21 November 2026, with the race itself held on the Saturday night under the lights of the Strip.
The Las Vegas GP runs on a 6.2km street circuit through the heart of Las Vegas, passing some of the most recognisable landmarks on the planet. The layout winds past Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian, giving fans a backdrop to remember. It is genuinely one of the most visually spectacular settings in motorsport.
A few reasons, all of them very Las Vegas. Saturday night maximises the city’s famous party atmosphere and keeps the Strip at its most electric when the cars are on track. It also works better for global broadcast audiences, particularly in Europe and Australia, where a Saturday night race in Nevada falls at a more reasonable viewing hour than a Sunday night slot would. The city essentially becomes the show, and racing under the neon lights of the Strip on a Saturday is a big part of what makes the Las Vegas GP so unique.
The race start time is typically around 10pm local Las Vegas time, which puts it deep into Saturday night. This is a deliberate choice. The later the start, the more the city comes alive around it. The Strip is at its most spectacular after dark, and Formula 1 has leaned into that fully. For Australian fans watching from home, it means an early Sunday morning alarm, but for those actually in Las Vegas, it makes for an unforgettable night out.
The Las Vegas GP runs for 50 laps around the 6.2km circuit, covering a total race distance of just over 309 kilometres. Race duration is typically around 90 minutes, though that can vary depending on safety car periods and track conditions.
50 laps. The circuit itself is 6.201 kilometres long, making it one of the longer street circuits on the F1 calendar, with a long straight down the Las Vegas Strip that generates some of the highest top speeds of the season.
The modern Las Vegas Grand Prix made its debut in November 2023, with Max Verstappen taking victory on the opening night of racing. It was the first time Formula 1 had raced in Las Vegas since the early 1980s, when the city briefly hosted a Grand Prix at Caesars Palace between 1981 and 1982.
No. The Las Vegas GP follows the standard Formula 1 weekend format, with practice sessions and qualifying building up to the main race on Saturday night. Not every round on the F1 calendar features a sprint race, and Las Vegas is one of the events that runs the traditional format.

Both tiers include accommodation and transfers, but the hospitality experience is designed for those who want more than just a seat at the race.
The Las Vegas GP race starts at approximately 10pm local Las Vegas time on Saturday, which translates to around 5pm Sunday afternoon AEDT. It is one of the more watchable F1 races of the season for Australian fans, with no middle-of-the-night alarm required. Exact broadcast times can vary slightly year to year, so it is worth checking closer to the event.
