Heineken Chinese Grand Prix

The Chinese Grand Prix takes place at the Shanghai International Circuit, located in the Jiading District, around 30km from central Shanghai. Designed by renowned circuit architect Hermann Tilke, the 5.451km track is instantly recognisable for its distinctive layout, said to be inspired by the Chinese character shàng. The circuit features 16 turns and one of the longest straights on the F1 calendar, a 1.175km run between Turns 13 and 14 that sets up some of the season’s best overtaking opportunities.

The Shanghai International Circuit sits outside the city centre, with return shared transfers set to be included in most of our Chinese Grand Prix packages.

The Chinese Grand Prix has run as a sprint weekend every year since 2024, adding a Saturday sprint race and its own qualifying session alongside the standard Friday practice and Sunday Grand Prix. Formula 1 has not yet confirmed the format for 2027, so the sprint race schedule will be updated as soon as official session times are released.
