2027 Double TCS London Marathon

The TCS London Marathon usually takes place in mid-late April. The 2027 Double TCS London Marathon will take place on both the 24th and 25th April in a special, one-off event.

Start times are staggered based on expected completion times and will be communicated to you closer to the event.

The 26.2‑mile course showcases some of London’s most famous sights. Runners start in Greenwich Park near Blackheath, pass the historic Cutty Sark at mile 6 and cross Tower Bridge around mile 12. The route then loops through Canary Wharf and, in 2026, detoured through Wood Wharf before returning to the Tower of London and along the Embankment. In the final miles, runners pass the London Eye and Big Ben before finishing on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace. The course is relatively flat with gentle inclines, making it an ideal race for first‑timers and those looking to set personal bests.

There are many road closures in place for the London Marathon, and so the easiest way to travel to the start line is via the London Underground. Our on-site team will be there to escort you so you don’t get lost!

The London Marathon is known for its carnival‑like atmosphere, with spectators dressing up, bands playing, and charity runners donning elaborate costumes. Many participants run for personal causes, and the cheering crowds help propel runners through difficult sections. A unique tradition is the mass sing‑along when runners pass the Salvation Army band near the Cutty Sark. After the finish, runners collect their medals and goody bags on The Mall, then exit into St James’s Park to meet family and friends. Whether you’re running or cheering, expect an emotionally charged day full of camaraderie and goodwill.

This means that even if you miss out in the public ballot, you can still secure your spot by purchasing an official travel package. Please note packages are strictly limited and only available to Australian residents.

Our London Marathon packages are designed to remove the stress of race logistics. Packages typically include guaranteed race entry, a central hotel within easy reach of the start and finish, pre‑race briefings, escort to the start line, and a post‑race celebration. Guests can also add sightseeing tours, West End theatre tickets, or hospitality experiences such as afternoon tea at a luxury hotel. As an official tour operator, we have access to limited numbers of race entries and can tailor itineraries to suit solo runners, couples, or groups. You’ll also benefit from local support staff who handle any issues that arise during your stay.

In general, our event package prices are shown on a per person twin or double share room basis, unless otherwise specified. Please note a single occupancy surcharge applies for solo passengers.

Once your payment has been processed, you will receive a booking confirmation with your reservation number. A detailed travel itinerary will be emailed approximately 2-3 weeks before your event.

Our payment terms vary depending on the event, however our standard payment terms is typically a 50% upfront deposit, with the remaining 50% balance due 3 months before the event. If the event is less than 3 months away, the price must be paid in full.
