Where is the US Open held?

The US Open is held in Queens, New York City, USA at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre.

What time do the sessions start?

+

The US Open tournament is split into two ticketed sessions for the show courts. A full Order of Play will be available the night before each day’s play on the official US Open app and usopen.org

Day Session

All Day Session ticketholders can access the grounds from 9:30am. Play on the outdoor courts begins at 11am, while matches in Arthur Ashe Stadium, and Louis Armstrong Stadium commence from 12pm. At the conclusion of the Day Session, ticketholders must vacate these main stadiums, although they can continue to enjoy matches on the outdoor courts as well as other on-ground entertainment for the remainder of the day.

Night Session

All Night Session ticketholders can access the grounds from 6pm. Play on the outdoor courts will already be underway from earlier in the day. Matches inside Arthur Ashe Stadium, and Louis Armstrong Stadium are scheduled to start at 7pm. However, if Day Session matches extend longer than expected, entry into these arenas will be delayed until 40 minutes after the conclusion of the earlier play.

Other Sessions

There are three outlier Sessions that occur throughout the finals series, with the first for the Women’s Semifinal. Ticketholders may enter the grounds from 11am, with limited outdoor court play. The Women’s Semifinal match itself does not commence until 7pm.

The Women’s and Men’s Final also have a singular session with gates opening at 11am on their respective days. The Women’s final on the Saturday commences at 4pm, while the Men’s Final begins at 2pm.

What are the courts at the US Open?

The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is world’s largest public tennis facility featuring 3 stadiums and 14 outdoor courts.

Arthur Ashe Stadium

The largest tennis stadium in the world, Arthur Ashe Stadium is the main show court for the US Open. This stadium has a seating capacity of over 23,000 spectators and is an exclusively ticketed arena and cannot be accessed with a Ground Pass. It has a retractable roof allowing uninterrupted play in all weather conditions.

Louis Armstrong Stadium

Rebuilt in 2018, Louis Armstrong Stadium is the other main show court for the US Open. This stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 14,000 spectators and is ticketed on the main concourse, with general admission for the upper concourse. It has a retractable roof allowing uninterrupted play in all weather conditions.

Grandstand

Grandstand is the third largest stadium on the grounds and seats approximately 8,000 spectators. A reserved ticket for this stadium includes a reserved seat, and general admission to Louis Armstrong in the upper levels and other outdoor courts.

What is the best way to travel to the US Open?

Subway

The 7 Train provides services from Grand Central Terminal to Mets-Willets point station. It is a 14 minute walk from the station to the grounds.

Private or Shared Transfers

We can assist with one-way transfers to the US Open which will ensure a safe and timely arrival at the grounds in the allocated drop off areas. Please contact us for more information.

Taxi & Ride-Sharing Services

All rideshare providers will drop off and pick up from the parking lot within the NY Hall of Science. From this drop off point it is approximately a 10 minute walk to the grounds.

Keith Prowse Travel offers tickets to a range of sessions across the tournament and, subject to availability, can tailor packages to specific sessions, rounds, and days.

The daily Order of Play is only released the evening prior however, which means we cannot guarantee which players will appear in a particular session at the time of booking.

The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year, held from late August to early September in New York City, USA. Played on a green and blue hard court with a Laykold surface, it plays slightly faster than the Australian Open and is known for its high-energy, entertainment-driven atmosphere which perfectly reflects the vibrant and big-city buzz of New York.

What is the dress code for the US Open?

There is no formal dress code for the US Open but we encourage spectators to dress appropriately for New York City’s summer heat. Light, breathable fabrics are ideal.

Do I need a visa to enter the United States of America?

All non-US citizens are required to obtain a visa or travel authorisation to enter the country. Most short-term visitors from Visa Waiver countries travelling for tourism or business can apply for an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

This applicated costs $40 per person and while most are approved within minutes, can take up to 3 working days to process. The fastest and easiest way is to apply via the ETA app, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Are flights included in these US Open package?

Flights are not included in our packages unless specifically mentioned in the product details. Flights can be added to any of our experiences and this can be arranged through our travel consultants.

Is the package price per person or per room?

In general, our package prices are shown on a per person twin or double share room basis, unless otherwise specified. Please note a single occupancy surcharge applies for solo passengers.

Can I alter the package and add in more tennis sessions?

When will I receive my US Open tickets and documentation?

Once your payment has been processed, you will receive a booking confirmation with your reservation number. A detailed travel itinerary will be emailed approximately 2-3 weeks before your event.

All tickets for the US Open are now digital and will be distributed via the official US Open app. A link to accept your ticket(s) will be sent via email prior to the event.

Our payment terms vary depending on the event, however our standard payment terms is typically a 50% upfront deposit, with the remaining 50% balance due 3 months before the event. If the event is less than 3 months away, the price must be paid in full.
